Thank You from Kathy Cox

Friends,

I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done to make my re-election possible. Thanks to your efforts to spread the good news about education in Georgia, we have another four years to continue our most important work of improving student achievement. What we saw on Tuesday was an affirmation that our state and our schools are headed in the right direction, and I am already back to work ensuring that we keep moving.

Our campaign was won in the family rooms, churches, and schoolhouses where informed citizens shared the truth with trusted friends. When you staked a yard sign in your lawn or shared your thoughts with a neighbor you spoke volumes on my behalf in ways I could not. Even though the election is behind us, there is still much we can do together for education in Georgia, so please stay involved. Stay involved by mentoring children in your community, by sharing your thoughts and ideas with me, or by continuing to advocate for responsible and effective leadership in our schools. Any way you cut it, education is a community effort, and it does not stop at the schoolhouse door.

As we look ahead there is hard work to come, but we can push ahead full speed towards some momentous accomplishments.  I believe in Georgia, I believe in our teachers, and I believe in our children.  I know that we can and will lead the nation in improving student achievement, and I want to be there with you when we do.

Thank you and God Bless,
Kathy Cox
